Chapter 34

Yoda ran to where the horses were kept. He peeped from a distance. His eyes scouted for Kokohashi without success. He looked at the horses, about three or four were missing. His breath warmed his face as he stepped out further.

He saw Kokohashi’s back in the distance. He was riding on his notorious white horse. Two horses accompanied him from the back. He clenched his jaws. That should have been him.

When he perceived safety, he came out fully from his hiding. He looked at both sides to check if anyone spied. He was satisfied with the results his eyes came back with so he marched toward the horses.

The neighing and stamping of their hoofs got the horses’ caretakers concerned. He stepped out of his tent to check the inconvenience that caused their disgruntlement.

A figure jumped on the back of one of the horses for the second time asking, his posture wasn’t good but he readjusted to ride. His vision of who it was wasn’t great so he dashed toward the horses to close down the spy.
