chapter fifty eight

"Okay dear, I'll have the first sip," I said and tried to adjust myself when I faked spilling the juice by mistake on my husband.

"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry. I'll handle it! Just wait here." I rushed to say. I left the room into his kitchen and I sighed in relief. I took a hankie that I saw and returned to clean off the stains.

I cleaned it all up as Wilson went into the bathroom to change clothes. By the time he returned, I was already done cleaning the bed sheet.

"Please forgive my clumsiness. I didn't mean to do that." I said to my husband. "I'll just go and get another glass," I said.

"It's okay dear. Just let it go," he said to me. "Nonsense. You have to get a fulfilled wish. We can't just stop halfway." I said and returned to the fridge.

I poured out another glass and this time without mixing any substance into it, I went back to my husband and as I expected, he wanted me to have the first sip.
