The Hidden Apartment

Rachel headed towards her hostel while Adrain followed behind. The hostel was located at the edge of the school and it was built purposely for her.

"Are you the only one living here?" Adrain asked, feeling stunned that such a thing could be happening. It was known that all students were living in the school hostel while the richest ones were staying in the white building.

Seeing another self-hostel built separately for one student amazed Adrain.

"Yes, as you can see, I'm the only one staying here" Rachel retorted nonchalantly. She didn't care about Adrain's status, as long as she was the one to train him.

"Wow! Incredible! Never knew something like this existed" Adrain was in awe.

"Your grandmother made it possible. She has the largest share in this school, which made all of her requests possible. She knew a day like this would be coming, that's why she made the preparations ahead" She explained and opened the door.

The hostel was bigger than be hostel. It was a two-bedroom apartment and was fully furnished.

Adrain had thought the whole building had the most expensive furniture but he was wrong. Even though cooking wasn't allowed in the school since the majority of them didn't know how to cook, Rachel's hostel had a kitchen.

"Here" Rachel's voice brought him back from his thought, passing a can of coke to him.

"Thanks," he murmured and sipped from it.

"Where are we starting from?" He inquired after.

"I was told to train you in martial arts, gun shooting, and a few things you need to know about hacking and tracking. According to your grandmother, I'll also help out in your revenge journey, so we need to help ourselves. We have only a few weeks for the training, so put all your mind into it. Don't forget you are still my training and till you will be fine, I'm free to punish you any way I like" she stated.

"Follow me" she added

She opened the first room and pressed the wall socket.

"Oh my goodness!" Adrain exclaimed, flabbergasted by the sight. The first room was filled with different tools for fighting, ranging from wooden swords, realto words, knives, varieties of guns, and others.

"As you can see, it has been prepared for your arrival" she smirked.

"Can I ask you one thing?" He questioned while Rachel nodded her head positively.

"How did you successfully take my golden card without me noticing it" he questioned again.

"Well, that's called smartness. I'll also train you that" she answered and suddenly threw a wooden knife towards Adrain's side.

Adrain didn't see it coming but still managed to dodge it which made him land on his butt.

"Wow! Seems you are going to catch up soon" Rachel hailed.

Adrain was stunned, he hadn't foreseen that. He was standing up when Rachel threw another one in his direction. He couldn't dodge it and it landed on his forehead.

"Argh" he groaned.

"Jeez! I shouldn't have praised it" she hissed before proceeding to the next room.

The lock wasn't like that first one. Rachel pressed some buttons and also used her right thumb before the door slowly opened for them.

Two laptops and other electronic appliances were there.

"We are coming to this later but firstly, let's practice some martial arts moves for fun" Rachel informed.

"Are we starting training now? I'm famished" Adrain complained

"Did you know you were hungry before begging me to train you? Well, training is much more sweet with an empty stomach. I promised you a yummy delicacy after" Rachel chuckled.

Adrain was calm, waiting for her to unveil what she had in stock for her.

Rachel asked him to do a hundred presses up before they would begin anything. Adrain was glad, he has always liked sports at the orphanage. He thought the press-up wouldn't be anything though he had not tried it before.

"Hope I'll eat immediately after I'm done?" He rejoicedly queried.

"Sure, and that will be all for today" Rachel acknowledged.

Adrain immediately off his White shirt and handed it over to Rachel. His abs were visible. Other ladies might be drooling at such abs but you Rachel, it wasn't a new thing.

Adrain began to do the press-up.

"1, 2,3,4…" he counted till he reached nine. He was sweating profusely. His hands and legs began to go numb, he could feel it!

He glared around him and couldn't find Rachel, he let out a deep breath and finally chose to take a break since Rachel wasn't there. He was about to sit down when a wooden knife came from the East direction and landed on his back.

"Fuck!" He cursed and immediately glanced in that direction but he couldn't find anybody.

"Where are you?" He asked, still finding her.

"You thought you were wise, Hun. You wanna stop when it's obvious you are yet to do anything. Carry on for your own sake!" Rachel's voice echoed in the wood.

Adrain traced the voice direction and found Rachel sitting on top of the tree.

"Can I proceed tomorrow please, I'm tired and didn't prepare for this, otherwise, I would have done better" Adrain pleaded.

"You should not have come to me if you haven't prepared. We have started and that's it. Continue please" Rachel answered, not minding his tiredness.

★★★★★★★★★★

Tony arrived at his hostel room, obviously drunk. He couldn't believe that he lost the game to Adrain and to worsen the situation, his dad also called to embarrass him.

"Why must it be him? Why?" He roared, smashing his plasma TV.

"I would still have my reputation in front of the students and also, my girlfriend if he didn't show up again! Though he has left, why would he come back? Why!" He yelled again, smashing his laptop on the ground.

"Now, I've lost it all! My father would query me, Matilda has left me and my reputation has been ruined!" he added, before sitting on a couch, gulping down some alcohol, and crying out again.

"But wait, where did he see the money? He was the pauper student who got a scholarship till this morning when things turned around. How the hell is that possible?" He questioned no one in particular.

He was still lost in his thoughts when his phone began to ring. He checked the caller and found out it was his father. He hesitated for a while but thinking his card might get confiscated again made him pink the call at the second ring.

"Hello Dad" he greeted.

"Save the greeting for the other time. I need you to come over during the weekend, we have a business meeting to attend, and failure to do so, I don't hesitate to help the company for your younger sister" his father threatened.

Tony knew he had to go. He has only a younger sister and she's a psycho. She's their parent's favorite but she hated her brother to the core, probably because of the way he maltreated her when they were young. That was when their parents were busy with business to the extent of not coming home for months at times.

Hearing the company will be bestowed to his sister made him respond immediately.

"I'll come" he murmured.

"Also, prepare well for your exams and make sure to attain the first three positions. Else, your cars and cards will be confiscated for a year" His father added before disconnecting the call.

Tony annoyingly threw his phone to the wall, getting frustrated Already. His father was very strict and wouldn't take No an answer. He always had his way to set Tony's brain whenever he wanted to misbehave.

"Adrain! I will never forgive you!" He pledged, tightening his fist in annoyance.

Shortly after, his phone began to ring. He didn't want to pick it up, thinking it was his tyrant father again but after a while, he picked up the call.

"Why are you calling me? Haven't you had enough?" He yelled to the caller.

"Calm down, Tony. We are both losers here. I have an idea about getting revenge on Adrian. He has ruined our names, don't you think we need to retort?" Matilda suggested from the other side of the phone.

"Revenge?" Tony asked again to be sure of what he just heard.

"Yes, Revenge! We need to get revenge. Don't forget who laughs last, laughs better" she replied.

"Let's meet at the school cafeteria after Dinner" Tony added.

His mood was elevated a bit after the call. He was glad that he was going to ruin Adrain's image.

"I can't wait to see his happiness cut short" he danced happily, not knowing what was about to befall him.
