Chapter 026

As Xavier's eyelids fluttered open early in the morning, he yawned and stretched, feeling the stiffness in his muscles slowly dissipate. Just as he was about to swing his legs out of bed, there was a soft knock on the door.

"Come in," Xavier called out, rubbing his eyes.

The door creaked open, and Henry stepped inside, a serious expression etched on his face. In his hands, he held two folders, one thick and one lean, each labelled with Xavier's name in bold letters.

"Good morning, Mr. Xavier," Henry greeted, his voice low and respectful. "These came in for you. They are from Mr Thompson."

"Alright, just place them in the drawer there," Xavier replied, pointing to the wooden dresser at the far end of the room.

Henry nodded, carefully setting the folders down before retreating towards the door. As he reached for the handle, he hesitated, glancing back at Xavier.

"Is there anything else you need, sir?" Henry inquired, his gaze unwavering.
