Zachary Hougthon : The Invincible God Of War

Chapter 3

The Harvey family villa looked quiet from the front. But it was different inside the house. After fourteen days of the announcement, they gathered again. But they knew that after fourteen days, Naura and Zachary never returned. Meanwhile, tomorrow, they have to hold a wedding. 

"They should have come back." Amy spoke with a stern voice in front of Naura's mother. She thought that Naura's family was jinxed. 

Leo shook his head. "You shouldn't be thinking about that useless woman. Wouldn't it be a good thing if they didn't come back? That foolish man has saved us from the Harvey family's disgraceful woman. We'll be free of her." Leo spoke confidently. He looked at his mother. 

Jhonny chose to remain silent. In contrast, Naura's mother seemed annoyed with her daugther, who was always making trouble.

"That woman is gone, so stop bringing it up again," Leo spoke up again, to which Amy nodded. 

"Yeah, we shouldn't be talking about that pesky woman. I wish she'd never come back. She's such a monster." Amy smiled and glanced at her sister in front of her. 

The sound of a bell interrupted their conversation. Naura-Diana Harvey's mother immediately got up from her couch. She was so sick of hearing the Harvey family taunting her. And all of this was, of course, because of the ugly Naura. 

Diana decided to go and opened the door to the house. Diana was surprised to see a strange woman who had dared to come to the Harvey family villa, which should be entered by only some. Then she saw Zachary behind the woman. Diana seemed to understand their arrival here. This woman was probably the new lover of the man who would marry her daugther.

Diana's emotions instantly peaked. She looked at Zachary with a fierce glare. "Did you deliberately bring this woman to the Harvey family? You have absolutely no right to break the marriage with Naura." Diana gave an affirmation. She raised a hand and pointed at Zachary's face, "Remember, you made a pact with the Harvey family to marry Naura. You also know you will get half of the Harvey family's wealth." 

Diana stared fiercely at the beautiful woman who came along with Zachary. In an instant, she hated her. Even now, Diana thinks that Zachary has thrown Naura away. That poor child of hers would never marry again for the rest of her life.

Zachary behaved very calmly. "Mother, I didn't cancel the wedding with Naura." Zachary explained. 

Naura became confused at her mother's anger. For ten years, she had hidden her body and face behind a bandage. Of course, her mother did not recognize her easily. Diana didn't know that the woman she always said was a bad-looking child had transformed into a princess she couldn't remember.

Naura immediately grabbed her mother's hand. She looked at her mother with emotion. At least she understood that her mother cared about her. "Mom, all this is a misunderstanding. This is me, Naura. And I have recovered." 

Diana didn't immediately believe that. "My daughter is different from you."

"Mother, I have recovered and this is really me, Naura Harvey." the voice I spoke sounded convincing with that familiar voice. Diana opened her mouth wide. 

A few moments later, she brought the two people into the house and in front of the other Harvey family members. 

All of Harvey's extended family were seated on a circular sofa. It was different, with Diana pacing back and forth with a hot head. She occasionally looked at Naura's face, which had changed drastically. The child who was previously considered a disgrace has become a princess. But when she saw the man beside her, Diana smacked her lips. The man was very suitable for Naura, who had become a beauty. 

The Harvey family was one of the families that had a relatively high reputation. Seeing her daughter's beauty, she was sure that Naura could get a wealthy man much more suitable for her life, unlike Zachary, who she believed was just a poor man. In fact, the Harveys had yet to learn where Zachary came from.

Diana looked at her father, who was sitting between them. "Father, now Naura has become a beautiful woman. But I think that man will not be suitable to accompany the rest of Naura's life." Diana looked at her father with great hope. "Isn't it after her transformation that Naura deserves another man to be her comp? Nion. Surely he can be greater and richer than the Harvey family? Not like that man."

Diana gave Zachary a disgusted look. She assumed that Zachary had only come to get a portion of Harvey's wealth. That indicated that Zachary was a poor man with nothing, so he could do such a thing by throwing away his pride.

Leo was amazed by the speaker. He immediately raised his back and looked sharply at his grandfather's face. "I strongly disagree with what Auntie Diana said. Naura's wedding will take place tomorrow. It can't be cancelled just like that. Grandpa said a promise is a promise." Leo immediately contradicted him.

He is the oldest grandson in the Harvey family. And if Naura has a husband greater than her, of course, this will be very dangerous for Leo. Unintentionally, it makes his status in the Harvey family rivalled. And it would be better if Naura married Zachary, who didn't have anything. Leo still wants to maintain his influential status in the Harvey family.

"All this has been agreed upon. And this marriage cannot be canceled just like that." Zachary agreed with Leo's words. After all, he wouldn't let Naura go after searching for her for so long. Zachary looked boldly at Jhonny's face. 

Leo immediately looked at Zachary's face with a sharp gaze. Leo showed his annoyance when Zachary boldly responded to his words. Leo's rejection of his aunt's wishes did not mean he supported Zachary. To him, Zachary was still a poor man with no right to speak. 

"Shut up you fool! No one asked you to comment. You're being rude by interrupting a serious conversation in the Harvey family, remember your position. You're getting married to Naura doesn't mean you have the right to have a voice in Harvey's house." Leo warned him sternly.

Likewise, Jhonny was also unhappy with the way Zachary spoke. He thought that Zachary had no manners. 

"You little shit. You're not anyone. You're just a lowlife who wants a piece of Harvey's fortune!" Amy also pointed at Zachary's face. Diana did the same. She also wanted to cuss Zachary out but was more focused on the conversation with her father. 

Before this, Jhonny thought Zachary was the saviour of the disgrace neatly stored in the Harvey house. But after the scandal had become a diamond, of course, Jhonny would not let the diamond fall into the hands of a random man. 

"Did you hear everything? You were never considered here. So keeping quiet would be much better. Besides, everyone's ears are getting very sore at the sound of your voice." Leo walked over to Zachary. But suddenly, Zachary touched him, which caused a great pain in his hand. It was just an ordinary touch, but how could it almost make Leo's bones hurt so much?

"Arggh, it hurts!" Leo shouted, making people pay attention to him and interrupting someone's thinking. 

"All of you be quiet!" Jhonny gave an affirmation to everyone in his deck.  

Naura became panicked. For ten years, she had never gotten affection from someone close to her. She only got scorn and disgusted stares from her family. Until after Naura knew Zachary, Naura had felt loved. She didn't want to part with Zachary just like that. 

Naura shook her head. "Mom, this marriage must happen. Everything has been decided and certainly cannot be canceled just like that." Naura defied her mother's wishes. Zachary is the man who made Naura recover, and he loves Naura sincerely. 

"Shut up, Naura. You don't understand anything. Mom and grandfather are the ones who know about your life. Not only will you get the best man, but you won't live in a cycle of poverty." Diana said that firmly. Her eyes were fixed straight on Naura, who suddenly became very stubborn. Before this, Nuara only obeyed. Until they are convinced that it is all because of Zachary's evil influence.

"Naura is right. What has been decided cannot be taken back. Tomorrow is our wedding, as promised by Mr. Jhonny." Zachary reminded again. But he saw Jhonny, who only gave a sharp look without agreeing with Zachary's words.

Jhonny no longer saw Zachary as a saviour. Instead, he wanted to get rid of Zachary, who would not be able to be the pride after becoming the son-in-law of his wonderful grandson. And at this time, Jhonny secretly agreed with Diana's words. Marrying Naura off to another, more affluent family would allow his granddaughter to have the best life possible and elevate the Harvey family even higher. Jhonny had even thought of using Naura. 

Naura had become a wonderful woman. He was sure young men with wealth and power would be vying to approach and marry Naura. 

"If you want to stay married to Naura, you two must be able to prove yourselves first to the Havey family." 

Jhonny looked at Zachary sharply. Jhonny noticed Zachary's appearance, which would not be comparable to the current Harvey family.

Zachary looked calm. He stared at Jhonny's face with a piercing gaze. "Just tell me what to do" " he answered steadily and determinedly. 

Diana couldn't help but laugh. "You're so overconfident." The laughter came back. 

Jhonny let out his breath. He had thought of something to get rid of Zachary. He could have just thrown Zachary away. It was just that they were worried that Zachary would make trouble that would cause the Harvey family trouble. Then he said, "As you know, the Harveys are a prominent family. And I want you to do something to keep our family's pride alive.”

"Recently there was a foreign company that arrived in our city. It's an international company, the TERA company is going to expand its business here and I want you to successfully sign a contract with them for thirty million dollars." Jhonny gave a requirement that made everyone round their eyes, including Naura.

Although Naura had never been in the working world, she knew that getting the contract would be very difficult. She became scared and doubtful of their success. Meanwhile, Leo was also surprised. It was a tricky thing. He wouldn't even be able to do it quickly. He was sure that poor, ignorant Zachary would fail this mission. And he had to accept the fact that the Harvey family would again give an announcement about Naura's marriage to rich people. 

Zachary didn't feel anxious at all. He was still calm and looked at Jhonny coldly. He was actually upset about this. But he nodded. "Alright, I'll get that cooperation contract right away." 

Zachary accepted the challenge, which made everyone gape. Then afterwards, Zachary and Naura chose to leave Harvey's house immediately.

Diana became worried. She walked up to her father and looked at Jhonny with annoyance. The woman folded her hands with a frown on her face. "Didn't you see Naura turning into a princess? You should have thought of something else. Naura can marry men who are richer and have extraordinary positions. What if that poor man could get the contract?" 

Jhonny grinned slightly. He looked at his daughter's face. "You fool! I'm saying this because it's an impossible thing for a poor man with no experience to get. Do you think everyone can cooperate?" Jhonny shook his head. 

He grinned faintly again. This time, his gaze wandered to the open main door. He was still looking at Zachary, who had just walked out of the door. "I'm sure that guy won't be able to do anything. And I will marry Naura to one of the children of the richest family who will soon be organizing a birthday party."
