CHAPTER SEVENTY ONE
Leon looked about the crowd and slowly made his way to the stage where Master Xavier stood. He looked at him with open admiration and people began to clap. He wasn't sure why Xavier had to introduce him to the crowd but he quietly indulged him. Xavier held his hands and raised them before the entire room, "This man is my savior, never have I seen a man so strong or powerful as he is," he said and the entire crowd clapped. Although Leon could see that not everyone clapped at that, some people merely stared at him skeptically, their eyes speaking evil. It wasn't going to be an easy task fitting into the elite society. "Do you have anything to say to the crowd?" Xavier asked but Leon shook his head. He wasn't ready for the show that Xavier was trying to put up. As much as he understood that the master was no doubt glad to be back in the social sphere and wanted to catch up on what he'd missed for the few years he was hospitalized. He didn't appreciate being introduced to a rook full o

CHAPTER SEVENTY TWO
Hands a little shaky, Leon took the paper from Xavier and stared at it like it was his little ticket to paradise. His eyes were wide and his lips parted in astonishment. He didn't expect it. Not only had the master thanked him enough, but he'd also made him known to a rook full of people who had no regard for him, now they all wanted to be on his side or fight against him. Either way, this only proves to Leon that he has suddenly gained prominence in the room. But being given half of anything he had? That was just beyond imagination, he wasn't sure how to react to such a grand gesture. "Are you sure? You don't have to do this," he said. Xavier smiled, "And this is exactly the reason I want to give you everything. You are so modest and your kindness is what baffles me, Leon, you deserve all this and more," he said. Leon looked at him, dumbstruck. He looked at the crowd and could see a mixture of anger, disbelief, and envy as spl as open admiration on their faces. Leon smirked at the

CHAPTER SEVENTY THREE
Leon held the shelf with his left arm and with the right, he picked up the old lady from the floor and she hastily moved away. He quickly leaned back and with it, the weight of the shelf which was on his shoulder leaned back too, going to its original position. He turned to his left and noticed that a small crowd had formed just at the center of the shopping mall. "Oh my God, you just saved my life," the lady said, grabbing her head as if to feel if it was still there. Leon handed her back her cart and nodded at her softly. Leon had just arrived at the mall that morning or picked up a few things when the unfortunate accident happened. The shelf at the left side of the mall fell over when one of the attendants tried to grab a back of cereal from up there. He had arrived just in time to save the old woman who was standing right under the can section from being badly hurt. Everyone was staring at him and the attendant quickly ran to the old lady to check if she was okay, then she grab

CHAPTER SEVENTY FOUR
The bald man sat in the car with his beautiful daughter after a pot of noodle soup from the fancy restaurant. "I hate that place and the food, it makes me sick," Cassidy said as the driver rolled down the district slowly. "Anything for the client, darling," the bald man replied and tapped her on the cheeks. Oliver Paul was the owner of one of the most sought-after pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. Not only was his family wealthy and his business growing but he was also a pro at making deals and getting investors. After a long afternoon of conversing and trying to seal a business deal, his daughter had just successfully talked a German investor into making a contract with them and it was going to bring a lot of money soon. "How hard could it possibly be for them to get French fries and burgers? Huh?" The girl asked and rolled her eyes, pulling open her bag to pop some mint. She hated Chinese food and her father knew that all too well. But they also knew that anyone in the Paul

CHAPTER SEVENTY FIVE
Leon turned to look at the old man and he arched a finely trimmed brow. There was no denying the fact that his enemies would get stronger and aggressive by the day and Leon needed some form of support, any kind of partnership that would help him. Xavier looked like he was always ready to do anything for him, but Leon knew that was just a man being grateful, what would happen when that gratitude wore off? "Or do you still think Xavier will help you when everyone around him comes caving in?" Oliver asked, his eyes telling Leon all he needed to know. Xavier's decision was being frowned upon by a lot of people including his own brother and sooner or later, Leon would become the object of their hatred when they couldn't get Xavier to change his mind - which they wouldn't because he already had a copy of all the signed lands, houses, and companies that he and Xavier had both signed. There was no going back, only a fierce battle would ensue. "I think I can handle myself, I don't have t

CHAPTER SEVENTY SIX
Leon banged the door as they left and shoved the contract under one of the couches. He didn't need the pen to sign them, he didn't need to sign that at all, period. He was just dumping it in the trash can where it belonged. But for a brief moment. Leon thought about what it would be like to have someone else bother about him. To have someone else take all the concern and worrying and all he had to do was see the world and heal people. Somehow, it didn't seem like such a bad idea and he pulled out the documents. He could recall how Madam Emelda had been with the cafe when he started healing. She wanted to tell when to heal, how to heal, and whom to heal. But that wasn't what his gift was for. Leon wanted to be free to heal whoever the ring directed him to without restrictions. "Would Oliver Paul be like that too?" He wondered out loud and looked at the car. The Porsche had driven away, he looked at the contract Shaina and decided that he really needed a full tummy to sign it. As

CHAPTER SEVENTY SEVEN
Tracy looked fierce with her hair down and her eyes blazing. She looked at the cops like she could as well test them up in bits. She looked at her bodyguard and told him to uncuff Leon but the cops stepped in. "What are you doing, ma'am?" One of the cops asked and moved towards her. "What are you going to do? Take him to the cell?" Tracy asked in anger. The cop nodded at Jenna and Emelda who were huddled together, looking at the scene with fright and some level of fascination. They certainly didn't expect Leon to quickly call for rescue and they hadn't even seen him on the phone. There was no way he could have quickly gotten help. "He assaulted those women and broke a contract, trying to defraud this old lady," the cop explained. Tracy's eyes widened. Although she'd only known Leon for such a short time, she couldn't believe that he'd do such a thing. "I don't think so, Leon could never hurt a woman or try to scam her," she said and then walked to Jenna and Emelda, "What is g

CHAPTER SEVENTY EIGHT
Tracy and Leon hadn't driven a good distance away when suddenly they noticed that a car was taking them. Leon looked behind and then the driver signaled his boss that there was a car after them. "Miss Caden, there is a black BMW trailing us," the driver said. Tracy looked behind and then huffed, "Really? Is this the cops coming at us again?" She asked impatiently. "I don't think so," Leon replied as he looked at the window. He could recognize that car from a good distance and it certainly didn't look like a cop vehicle. In fact, he had an idea who it belonged to. "I think it's Xavier's men." He said. Eyes wide, Tracy turned to look at the car again. It was a single BMW in front and a couple of SUVs moving behind it. "I can't see anyone from here, how did you know that?" She asked. "I know that Xavier has a liking for BMWs, I've seen a lot of them in his compound," he replied. Tracy still couldn't get it. She'd only heard the rumors around town that there was a healer wh

CHAPTER SEVENTY NINE
After Leon left Tracy, he realized two things. First, he came to the realization that his life had really changed in a matter of weeks and then he also realized that he wasn't truly safe. With the case of the cops and Emelda, he realized that he had to live more like the man he was. The entire city expected more from him and living in the trashy apartment wasn't just going to cut it. He arrived late at the apartment that night and called on one of the men Xavier had assigned to him. He hasn't really ever called for their help and right then he needed to use them. He packed up everything he had - which really wasn't much more than a duffel bag. He wasn't sure he would ever really need any of it again but he took it anyway. At almost midnight, they arrived at a big duplex which the man ushered him into. "This is your new home, it's one of the mansions that master Xavier has left in your possession," the dark man said. "Thanks for helping me park..." Leon said and dragged out the l

CHAPTER EIGHTY
That same day, later in the evening when most of the staff at the office had locked up and cleared out their desks for the day's work. Lily peeked into Leon's office and asked him if he wasn't going home too. "It's been a tiring day I think, shouldn't you be going home, sir?" She asked him with a smile. Leon sighed, it indeed was a tiring day for him but he hadn't been able to get much done because of his constant worry. His mind kept going back to what Oliver had said. He couldn't function in the company until he'd left his mark. "I'm good, I should be heading home anytime soon," he replied with a smile of his own and she left the door, bidding him goodnight. Leon rose from the swivel chair and pulled down the Venetian blinds. He could see the reflection of the moon right into the office, it was dark and the perfect time for him to have a tour of the office but he didn't want to appear like a creep to the janitor whom he was sure was still in the building. The office spac
