The man emitted irritating, obnoxious laughter as he revel in the palpable fear emanating from Perry. Despite expecting the worst, Perry slowly peeled open her eyes, half-expecting to discover that her head had been blasted apart. However, as her vision adjusted to her surroundings, she was dumbfounded by what she saw before her as if she was trapped in a vivid dream.

It was an absolutely horrid sight, one that Perry had never before experienced nor even conceived of in her wildest dreams. Before her, the brains of the recently-murdered man -- Sylvester's victim -- were distributed haphazardly across the ground, with splatters of blood coating Perry's body, most notably her face and mouth.

The nauseating stench of the scene was unbearable, and Perry could not help but retch, spewing the contents of her stomach onto the ground. But even as she did so, the vivid graphic scene before her remained, an indelible image seared into her mind's eye.
