Chapter Twenty-seven

Carla walked up to Armand, a sly grin spreading across her face as she pulled out a scarf from her pocket. "What's that?" Armand asked, his curiosity piqued.

"A blindfold," Carla replied, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

Armand's eyes narrowed, "Who's it meant for?"

Carla let out a throaty laugh, "You, of course! What a silly question!"

Armand vehemently rejected the idea, "No way, Carla. I am not going to let you blindfold me."

But Carla persisted, her persuasion wearing down Armand's resistance. Finally, he relented, and Carla eagerly tied the blindfold around his eyes.

She took his hand, leading him through the darkness. Armand stumbled, his senses disoriented, as Carla guided him up a staircase. The steps creaked beneath their feet, and Armand's anxiety grew with each step.

At the top of the stairs, Carla removed the blindfold.

Carla screamed, "Tada!" her voice echoing through the rooftop terrace.
