Chapter 4-Revenge

Yes, that person was Diablo Torres. Jacob gave his rival a sharp look and tried to keep his cool. How could he not, he had never had sex with Carol during his marriage. However, the man who suddenly appeared in his life, easily snatched the woman he loved and removed him from the Kaye family.

“Haha haha! Look, that riff-raff over there! Hey, did you get lost, Ja-cob,” taunted Diablo, who now appeared with two of his friends, Hector and Kendrick.

Everyone joined in with a derisive laugh. The manager looked angry, but Jacob signaled with a wink. The manager nodded in understanding and walked away. Diablo Torres walked proudly with an amused chuckle. He really didn't expect to meet the man the Kaye family was hunting down to expel from the continent.

“Hello, Mr. Diablo Torres. You seem to be in a good mood. It seems that the wound on your face is getting better,” Jacob said, which made Diablo immediately fell silent. He had forgotten that his face was still scarred from being beaten by Jacob at that time. Two of Diablo's friends immediately stepped forward to protect the Torres descendant.

“I've heard about you. The servant of the Kaye family. An ignorant man who got kicked out in the end. Let me guess, you got into this place by stealing the Kaye family's money, right? You had a bag with you when you ran away. That must be your stolen money!” The curly-haired man, who was none other than Hector, shouted loudly.

Suddenly, the man's words made Jacob stunned because he was slandered. Everyone immediately started talking about the hobo-clad man who was now being laughed at by Diablo and his friends. Jacob tried to hold back his anger. However, he remembered Emma's words not to be barbaric and fight back elegantly. Jacob closed his eyes for a moment and then smiled slightly when he opened them.

“It takes 10 bags full of money to buy a set collection from this shop. As for what you just said, I only brought 1 bag. If you know, that bag only contains $640 worth of money from my work at the Kaye family,” Jacob replied calmly. Instantly, the laughter of the three men subsided. They were thinking about what Jacob had just said. Again, the shop customers whispered about it. “However, what's even stranger. How small the wages I received for 10 years of working in the Kaye family because I only earned $640. I became suspicious, is it true that the Kaye family is that rich? If it's true, isn't it inhumane to hire someone with a substandard wage?” Jacob asked, causing everyone to fall silent again.

Jacob, who was satisfied that he had indirectly succeeded in bringing down the Kaye family name in public, excused himself. The store manager came up to Jacob as his main customer was about to walk out of the door.

“I bought all the collections in this shop,” Jacob said in a whisper.

“Yes, Sir,” the manager replied as he nodded slowly.

“And as a bonus. All orders from customers except Diablo Torres and his two friends, I pay for. All you have to do is tell them that Mr. Rodriguez's son has a birthday on the same date as Carol and Diablo's wedding. They're all invited,” Jacob said and got a smile in response from the manager.

“I understand, Sir. Thanks for your confidence in choosing the collection at the Rivera Boutique,” the manager said politely, and Jacob nodded in response.

Jacob walked back to the coffee shop opposite the boutique. He entered the shop and exited through the back door. A luxury sedan was waiting for him, with Ewlad sitting in the driver's seat.

“Oh, how was it, Mr. Wyatt? Did you find the right collection? Apparently, you're not satisfied with coming back empty-handed,” Ewald asked as he closed the business magazine he had just read while waiting for his young master to return.

“I'm done shopping. Maybe you should call the manager for billing and delivery of my clothes,” Jacob said calmly as he turned his head towards the window as the customers of Rivera Boutique poured out with smiling faces.

“Oh, don't worry about that. The manager knows what to do. So ... you insist on working?” asked Ewald confirming with two hands on the wheel.

“Yes. I miss working,” Jacob replied calmly, but left Ewald shaking his head.

“You are indeed admirable, Mr. Wyatt. It's a pity we're meeting again now,” Ewald said, looking disappointed. However, Jacob only smiled in response.

After Jacob left at the Rivera Boutique.

“What!” screeched Diablo with bulging eyes as all the items he selected were rejected by the cashier.

“I'm sorry, Mr. Diablo Torres. It's just that all the collections in the boutique have been purchased by Young Master Rodriguez. If you are willing, please feel free to place an order. However, due to the availability of materials and the latest designs coming in five months, please wait patiently,” the cashier said, making Diablo's breath catch.

“How lame! What kind of shop is this!” shouted Diablo angrily.

“Well, it looks like you're out of luck, Diablo. We just got the collection from a special order for free. And ... I guess I won't be able to come to your wedding,” said a man accompanied by his assistant.

“Why?” asked Diablo, confused.

“We were invited to the birthday party of the Rodriguez family's son. The date is the same as your wedding day. And ... considering that Rodriguez is such a prominent person and his business sector is so strong, so ...,” the man said dangling and was nodded to by the other five men standing behind him.

Diablo knew the rest of that sentence. He couldn't hide his anger and left the boutique. Two of Diablo's friends who were confused by this condition chased after Carol's future husband.

"Diablo!" shouted a dark-haired man named Kendrick, trying to stop the Torres family's only son.

“Did you hear that? They chose to come to Rodriguez's son's birthday party. Isn't it … rumor has it that the boy is dead? The Rodriguez family's asset managers also never appear in public. They are indeed rich and have many assets scattered in this city. But hey, they're dead!” screeched Diablo in annoyance.

"Don't ask me about this. You should contact Kaye's family. Tell them that you found Jacob. He's still in town and it's very dangerous. He already dared to insult Kaye because of his small salary. However, I'm also curious. Is it true that Jacob was only paid $640 for 10 years of work? My dog costs $640 per month to take care of," Hector asked in surprise.

Diablo did not answer. He left his two friends behind because he wanted to see Mrs. Kaye immediately. He was humiliated by Rodriguez's son even though he had never met him. Plus, he met Jacob and the man dared to insult him.

"Just watch, Rodriguez, Jacob. You'll both be trash in my hands," Diablo said angrily.
