Chapter 4: The Billionaire's Shocking Return

Miles' voice cut through the air with a sharp, calculated precision, snapping Xavier back to the present moment.

Shaking off his initial shock, Xavier regained his composure, although a hint of uncertainty still lingered in his eyes. The billionaire businessman couldn't deny the striking resemblance between Miles and the elusive Anderson Trillionaire Grandmaster, an uncanny similarity that left him unnerved.

"Familiar?" Miles repeated, a wry smirk playing on his lips as he observed Xavier's reaction.

Miles, sipping his wine with an air of practiced nonchalance, observed the room with a shrewd eye. As more young heirs  streamed in, their hushed whispers hinting at their eagerness to witness his supposed humiliation and possible death, Miles remained unfazed, his expression unmoved.

"How dare you disrupt our party?" Xavier growled, his voice low and threatening. But Miles' unflappable demeanor only seemed to amplify his own frustration.

"And here I thought you were here to join me for a drink," Miles replied, his voice dripping with false pleasantry as he calmly poured himself another glass.

Xavier clenched his jaw, his nostrils flaring in restrained fury. He stalked towards Miles, stopping mere inches from the table, his presence looming over the other man.

"This isn't a game, Miles. You've made a powerful enemy today," Xavier warned, his voice hushed yet menacing.

But Miles only chuckled, raising the glass to his lips for another sip. "Oh, I'm well aware of the stakes. But you see, I'm not the one who should be worried."

Xavier's fists tightened at his sides, his knuckles turning white as his anger reached a boiling point.

"Did I hit a nerve?" Miles inquired, his voice tinged with amusement as he smiled his infuriating smile.

"The audacity," one of the young heirs muttered under his breath, his gaze fixed on the brewing confrontation between the two men.

Xavier's face contorted with rage as he hissed, "You have no idea who you're messing with. You think you're so clever with your words, but they're empty. Just like you."

Miles' smirk widened, his composure never faltering in the face of Xavier's tirade. "Funny... I thought it was the other way around."

"You should be on your knees, begging me for forgiveness," Xavier spat, his ego fueling his rage.

Miles' voice was as smooth as silk, barely concealing the razor-sharp edge within. "That sounds intriguing, don't you think, Xavier Vale? After all, you don't know half the truth about me."

Xavier froze, his eyes widening at the revelation that Miles knew his name.

Xavier's fury reached new heights, his voice dripping with venom as he spat, "I'll kill you and leave your body to rot! You're nothing but a loser husband!"

Miles' demeanor was unruffled, his piercing gaze and imposing aura penetrating Xavier's defenses. "Funny how you keep talking, for a man," he remarked, his voice dripping with scorn.

Xavier's eyes flashed with deadly intent. "You think you're brave? You have a death wish," he snarled, his entire being trembling with fury.

Miles chuckled, a sound devoid of humor.

Miles' chuckle echoed throughout the hall, its eerie silence only amplifying the tension in the air. He took a step closer to Xavier, their faces mere inches apart.

"Bold words, coming from a man who's all talk and no action," Miles taunted, his voice low and menacing.

Xavier seethed, the vein in his temple pulsing with his fury. "You're about to regret those words, you insolent dog," he growled, his hands clenching into fists at his sides.

Miles, towering over Xavier, smirked down at him, his tone authoritative and laced with confidence. "You see, there's something that sets us apart," he declared, his voice cutting through the air like a blade.

"What?" Xavier growled, his eyes darting back and forth as he struggled to maintain his composure in the face of Miles' intimidation.

Miles continued to torment Xavier with his words, his smirk growing even more pronounced. "You're all talk, no action," he taunted, his voice dripping with scorn. "But I? I let my actions do the talking for me."

Xavier took an involuntary step back, his chest heaving as he struggled to contain his rising panic. But he couldn't let these young heirs witness his fear, not when he was supposed to be the one in control.

Miles held up two fingers, his eyes never wavering from Xavier's.

"Two different things," Miles said, his tone mocking as he wiggled his fingers in Xavier's direction. "You have a big mouth, but nothing to back it up."

"Don't you think so, Young Master Xavier Vale?" Miles said, his tone dark and ominous as he uttered Xavier's full name, a name that few dared speak out loud.

Xavier's eyes widened in shock, a glint of fear flickering in their depths. "W... who the hell are you?" he demanded, his voice a weak imitation of its former bravado.

Miles' smirk was nothing short of predatory as he leaned in close, his words a whispered threat. "Take a guess…”

"I don't have time for this," Xavier muttered, his face a mask of barely contained panic as sweat dripped from his forehead.

But Miles, his voice dripping with malice, pressed on. "Why don't I refresh your memory? Betraying someone and then forgetting who they are? Tsk tsk."

Xavier's eyes widened as realization dawned upon him. The pieces were falling into place, the puzzle of Miles' identity slowly becoming clear.

Miles, seeing the understanding take hold, raised a single eyebrow. "So you're starting to remember now? Good.”

Memories of Miles' legendary exploits, his ruthless business acumen, and his fearsome reputation as a corporate titan, surged through Xavier's mind like a flood.

"Anderson..." Xavier whispered, his voice trembling as he took a step backward, horror dawning upon him.

Miles' gaze was like that of a predator, his eyes glittering with venom. "What's the matter, Xavier? Looks like you're seeing a ghost," he drawled, his voice a deadly whisper.

Xavier’s cockiness fades as fear grips him, realizing the graveness of his mistakes.

“No…. It can’t be!”
