Alex had been looking for Annabelle, he was told that she had gone to meet the manager. He was certain that she was still in the Manager's office, because he had checked her office, and she was not there.

He saw her from afar, and the more he walked closer to her, the more he suspected that she was arguing with someone. Annabelle hardly raised her voice, even when she is upset.

"Annabelle!"

She was startled. She hid her phone behind her, and stared at Alex with wide eyes, that threatened to come out of its sockets.

"Alex! What…what are you doing here?" She said, smiling nervously.

Alex looked at her for a moment, she seemed tensed. "Are you alright, Ann?"

"Yes. Yes, of course." She responded.

He did not want to believe her, but he did not want to pester her, too.

"Oh, okay. Jayden wants to see us."
