Seeing as how no one said anything, Ethan glared at Nora who immediately backed away, terrified to make eye contact for fear of getting punished.

"You are lucky." Ethan began. "I'd rather not punish you considering there are no permanent damages to me. So I'll leave this, cross my path again and I won't hesitate to toss you in jail. Try me."

Each word was said in a jocular tone but for some reason, no one dared to think that Ethan was joking, with some even trembling.

This man was just too imposing, no!?

Sparing Nora one last glance, Ethan turned and left with Anna following closely behind.

It was only then some realized that they had been holding their breaths.

Though no one voiced it, several had a feeling that their Beggars sect branch would be overturned today.

Whether this would be good or bad for them was left to be seen.
