After John hung up the phone after the discovery of his best friend’s murder. He could no longer sit in wait for justice to prevail. He had to do something about it. He again went back to Ruddick’s for more answers. By the time, in deed Ruddick had something for him. Upon carrying out autopsies on Jane’s body, he discovered that Jane’s cause of death was not because of the etchings on her body. Instead, Jane had died of a totally different cause long before she got the engravings.

It was after the fact that the killer decided to carve markings on her body and drain her blood thereafter. Despite his previous suggestions of the perpetrator having no background on the human anatomy, upon further examinations, the carvings indicated skillful work. Work that was done by someone with extensive knowledge of the human anatomy. The perpetrator did the carvings with the aim of throwing them off.

Besides the facts, there were also signs of strangulation. S
