The fleet of cars stopped at the Metro Hotel and John quickly rushed down to open the car door for Gerald.
"We are here sir," John announced to Gerald as he opened the door. Gerald came out of the car and stood in awe of the magnificent Hotel. Metro Hotel was the top Hotel in the city. It was a thing of pride to tell someone that you went to the Metro Hotel for dinner not to talk about lodging there. "Please come with me, sir," John said. Gerald followed John and they both entered the hotel. John told Gerald that Mr. Wellington was in the VIP section of the Hotel. Gerald followed John to the VIP section but John stopped at the lobby. "I'm afraid this is the limit I can go," John explained. "I don't understand what you mean," Gerald said with a confused look on his face. "The thing is, I am not qualified to enter the VIP section of the hotel," John explained. "Okay, so how do I get to see Mr. Wellington?" Gerald asked still confused. "A designated receptionist would come to take you there," John answered. "Alright! Thank you, Mr. John." Gerald said. "You are welcome, sir," John replied bowing his head in respect to Gerald. Gerald watched as John took his leave. He began to look around the hotel. The hotel was indeed beautiful and Gerald could not help but smile. Gerald was too engrossed in his thoughts about the hotel when he bumped into someone who was behind him. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Gerald apologized as he reached out instinctively to hold the person from falling. Gerald immediately let go when he felt something soft and then he heard a woman scream. In his haste to hold the person from falling, Gerald had mistakenly touched the woman's breast which caused her to scream. Gerald's face flushed with embarrassment as the realization of what he had done hit him. He was too embarrassed to face the woman so he kept his head down but he knew that he could not do that for long because as a gentleman that he is, he knew that he ought to apologise to her. Gerald raised his head to tender his apology to the woman and he was surprised to see her finely made-up face and wet shirt. She was holding a cup of milk in her hands and Gerald could see that it was the content of the cup that had spilled on her clothes thereby causing the wetness. The woman was looking at Gerald with killer eyes and her eyes were blazing with anger. Gerald did not want to look at her eyes so he looked down and in the process of doing so, he saw that her bra and breast were exposed due to the wetness of her shirt. The woman was breathing agitatedly and her breathing was causing her chest to move up and down. Gerald quickly averted his gaze and brought his eyes back to her face. He still met her angry eyes boring into him. Gerald opened his mouth to apologize to her but the next thing he saw was her raising her hand and she gave him a dirty slap. Gerald was stunned by her actions and could barely contain his anger. "What was that for?" He asked getting angry. "You pervert!" The woman screamed at him. "How dare you?!" She asked in anger. Gerald became pissed off when he heard her calling him a pervert. "Why would you call me a pervert?" Gerald asked her. "Do I look like a pervert to you?" The woman burst into a mocking laughter. "It is not written on the forehead but it's obvious that you are a pervert because you were staring at my chest!" The woman accused. Gerald found her accusations annoying and he told her so. "Look here, the only mistake I made was bumping into you and spilling your drink so don't you dare accuse me of something else that I am not guilty of!" Gerald warned her. The woman was not moved by what Gerald had said, instead, she scoffed at him. She was about to reply to him when her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Mr. Wellington who was calling her. "Don't let me ever see this lousy face of yours again!" The woman warned him and left as she picked up her call. Shortly after she left, the receptionist who had been assigned to take Gerald to see Mr. Wellington came to meet him. "I'm sorry for the delay sir but Mr. Wellington will see you now so please come with me, sir." The receptionist said to Gerald. "Alright! Lead the way." Gerald replied to the receptionist. She took him through a long passage before entering into an elevator where they entered a private passage. There were just two doors opposite each other on the passage and the receptionist took Gerald to one of them. She pressed a button and they heard a click on the door being opened from the inside. "You can go in now." The receptionist said to Gerald. Gerald thanked her and entered the room. To his greatest surprise, he saw the woman he had bumped into in the lobby with Mr. Wellington. The woman saw him and she became angry. "You pervert! I thought I warned you never to come across me again!" She reminded Gerald. Gerald was about to talk when she cut him off. "Don't bother! I'm calling security right now!" She said. The old man saw the tension between Gerald and the woman and he quickly intervened. "Grace!" He said to the woman. "This is the miracle doctor I told you about.”The woman had a surprise look on her face as she heard what the old man said. "Grandpa, I don't understand! How can this thug here be the miracle doctor you told me about?" The woman asked, standing up. Gerald was mad at her for calling him a thug but he decided to control his anger out of respect to the old man. "With all due respect sir, I do not appreciate your granddaughter calling me a thug! It's an insult to my person." Gerald complained. "Oh please cut the crap!" The woman shouted at Gerald. "You are not just a thug, but a pervert also!" Gerald became angry. He could not understand why the woman kept insisting that he was a pervert when everything was just a mistake. He regretted his good intentions to help her. He would have just allowed her to fall down and maybe then she would not have been insulting him right now. The old man saw that things were beginning to escalate between Gerald and his granddaughter. So he decided to stop the matter from escalating. "Grace.
Gerald was surprised that the old man had another reason for calling him. So he sat down. "What is it, Mr. Wellington? Gerald asked the old man Grace also wondered what her grandfather had said. As far as she knew, her grandfather had only told her that he had found a doctor who could cure him. Mr. Wellington looked at Gerald and then at Grace. "I called you here because I wish you could marry my granddaughter, Grace." The old man said. Gerald and Grace were both surprised. Gerald wondered why the old man would want him to marry his granddaughter while Grace was also surprised at why her grandfather would want her to marry a stranger. Gerald was thinking if the old man did not trust him enough to heal him, and wanted to use his granddaughter as leverage, because if he get married to a member of his family, he would have no choice but to treat him well. Gerald knew that he was not ready to remarry again, not after the recent betrayal he just experienced from his ex-wife, Fion
The next day, Gerald went to Grace Company, Yola Company. She was busy writing and did not notice him at first. She was putting on a tight suit, and Gerald could not help but admire how she looked good in a tight suit, and he continued staring at her. Grace suddenly felt like she was being watched, so she raised up her head and noticed Gerald staring at her. Grace was angry when she saw Gerald, and she gave him a cold look. "Good morning." She e greeted coldly. "I can see that you arrived quite early and on time." She said. Gerald smiled and ignored a cold attitude, and then he said, "How are you? You look good in your tight suit," he said. Grace frowned at the compliment. Then Gerald continued to stare at her, breast button, and she became angry. After what happened between them yesterday, she thought he would have changed. She became annoyed as she remembered the incident of yesterday. Gerald had noticed her annoyance, and after what happened between them yesterday,
Ivan landed on the floor with a thud, but he quickly stood up. He was embarrassed, but he refused to show it. He was not ready to show how weak he was. He moved towards Gerald again and tried to punch him, but Gerald overpowered him and kicked him in the chin, and he fell down on the floor again. He could not believe that Gerald was stronger than him."How come? How come you are stronger than me? I am the disciple of a master." Ivan said to Gerald. Gerald ignored Evan's question and looked at him contemptuously. He walked towards him to where he was and stepped on his chest. "Now, you must apologize. Who is useless? Who is the useless one among the both of us?" Gerald asked him.Ivan refused to back down, he refused to accept defeat, and instead he continued to threaten Gerald. "You don't know what you have just gotten yourself into. You are in for a big mess. I will make sure I deal with you." He said. Gerald got more angry and was about to land another punch on him when Fion
Gerald scoffed at Henry. He believed that if only Henry knew that he was invited by Grace to come work there, he would not be talking to him the way he was doing.Gerald believed that Henry would have been addressing him with respect if he knew the connection he had with Grace and her grandfather."How dare you scoff at me?" Henry asked in anger. "You bloody ex-convict!" Gerald did not want to get angry with Henry because of Grace, so he kept quiet while Henry called him names.Henry on the other hand became more angry with the silent treatment Gerald was giving him.He could not stomach the fact that someone who he believed was beneath his status would keep silent as he was talking to him."You have the guts to ignore me when I'm talking to you? Who the hell do you think I am?" Henry shouted.Gerald was beginning to get tired of Henry's childish outbursts but he still refused to lose his cool."I don't know what you want me to say or do. When I talk, you pick offense, when I keep si
Henry and the security were both stunned to hear what Gerald said. The security quickly stood up and he became scared not knowing if he had offended someone higher than Henry unknowingly to him. Henry quickly let go of his shock and his face turned into a sneer. "You are not just a criminal, but also a pathological liar!" Henry shouted. "What?" Gerald said. Henry burst into a mocking laughter before he answered Gerald. "You must think that I'm a fool to believe that my boss would stoop low as to date a low-life criminal like you!" Henry jeered. The security nodded his head in agreement with what Henry said. He thought about it and he realized that it was unrealistic for their boss to date someone like Gerald. He began to curse himself for getting scared easily. "That is true!" The security blurted out. "There is no way our boss would date someone like you!" Gerald looked at both Henry and the security and he scoffed. He knew that they would find it hard to believe him and he
Henry saw the call end and he smiled in triumph that Gerald had failed in his plans."I knew that there was no way my boss would stoop so low as to come here to save a criminal like you." Henry mocked. He and the security started to laugh and make mockery of Gerald who only stood there staring at them in silence.Gerald had a strong belief that Grace was going to come. He knew she was too inquisitive to let the situation pass without her knowing what exactly was wrong which was why he did not explain to her on the phone."Sir, I knew this criminal here was just wasting our time, allow me to teach him a lesson." The security said."You are right." Henry agreed with security. He called in two extra security guards and they came."Drag him out of here and let's teach him a lesson," Henry instructed the security guards. The security guards were about to drag Gerald out when they heard a knock on the door. The security opened the door and was shocked to see Grace standing at the door. "W
Henry and the three security guards, on hearing that Grace was about to fire them, quickly lay down on the floor and started begging. "Please, Ma, don't do this to me, please. I promise it will never repeat itself." Henry begged. "That's your own. Use this experience you have here and correct your next job in whatever company you find yourself. Now get out of here before I do something more terrible than just firing you." Grace shouted. Henry and the security quickly stood up on their feet and scrambled out of the office. Grace was afraid that Gerald might not want to help her grandfather again due to the treatment he received from Henry, so she turned to him to apologize. "I'm sorry for the way you were treated by the security guards and by Henry. It was never my intention. Please, forgive me." Grace begged.Gerald was surprised that Grace was apologizing on behalf of Henry and the security guards. This was a new side to her that he didn't see coming. And he could not help but wo
