CHAPTER 31

Inside the laundry room where Lynette was busy steaming the suit she was given to prepare for Jeremiah’s meeting with his father, a bunch of maids came in and approached her.

There were four of them, and they all looked relieved like they had been searching for her.

“Is it true?” One of the maids asked.

“Is what true?” Lynette replied, not taking a second’s break to give the maids around her attention as her focus remained on the task she was given.

“You know what we’re talking about. That’s stuff. Is that stuff true?” The second maid asked.

Lynette groaned in confusion.

“I honestly have no idea what any of you guys are talking about, so unless you go ahead and spit it out, I’m going to remain clueless” Lynette retorted.

“Come on, Lynette. Don’t start playing dumb with us now. We really want to know” said one of the maids as she grabbed Lynette’s hand that held the steamer.
