Chapter 7
What...what?

Fred wanted a divorce?

Who would have thought!

Not anyone in the room, especially the people from the Cadman family, would have predicted this!

Who was Fred even?

He was just an infamous loser from Sea City, a good-for-nothing man!

If he had any redeeming qualities, why would the Cadman family have arranged for Valerie to offer herself to Mr. Graham to solve the crisis the Cadman family was facing today?

In their eyes, the best thing Fred could have done was to watch Valerie cuckold him and not say a word.

For the sake of their Cadman family, he should be on his knees, begging Alan for mercy!

Instead, Fred actually took the initiative to propose a divorce. How was this possible?

Valerie was also surprised. She sat on the ground, unable to react for a long time, until she saw Fred's indifferent eyes. Then, an unprecedented wave of humiliation instantly rushed into Valerie's heart.

Valerie, the eldest daughter of the Cadman family, was once the number one beauty of Sea City, a swan that sat high on a pedestal. Today, she was actually being divorced by Fred, a good-for-nothing who was worse than a toad.

"You want a divorce?"

With an amused expression, Valerie slowly got up and hummed disdainfully. "What right do you have to propose divorce to me? There are thousands of men in this world. Ask yourself, which one of them is not better than you? Which one of them is less of a man than you are?

"Fred, I'm letting you know! I'm the one who should bring up a divorce!"

Obviously, Valerie was getting a bit angry and frustrated at this moment.

Her appearance, in Fred's eyes, became uglier and more unpleasant over time.

In the whole span of five years!

He had made a promise to the elder Mr. Cadman to become the Cadman family's son-in-law. Even after suffering all the humiliation, he did not back out in order to protect the Cadman family's well-being.

Now all this had become the source of Fred's frustrations.

"I was good to you, yet you could not see it! Mr. Cadman, your hard work was in vain!"

Sighing and shaking his head, Fred no longer wanted to say anything more.

Originally, he planned to bring Valerie away after the five-year period expires, along with the entire Cadman family. He would ensure they would enjoy a life where they stood high above all others, to live like kings of this world!

Now...she and the rest were not worthy anymore!

After this, they are not even qualified to be gazed upon by him.

"So be it! Since these are your words, I hope that in the future you will not kneel before me and beg me..." Fred slowly spoke after letting out a sigh.

"Begging you? You? Of all people?"

Not waiting for Valerie to open her mouth, Karen, Valerie's mother, coldly snorted. "Someone like you? A loser? Are you worthy of such a thing? As long as Valerie divorces you, countless young men from powerful families would like to be with Valerie!"

Elmer, the current head of the Cadman family, waved his hand and grunted. "Fred, since you are no longer a member of our family. Get out now, go to your doghouse, pack up all your things, and get lost!"

"That's right! You don't deserve to be a member of our family, you're divorced!"

"At last, our family is free of this loser!"

"Don't forget, when he's packing his things, send someone to follow him, don't let him take anything that's not his!"

The other people from the Cadman family all immediately revealed their sarcastic faces, desperately mocking Fred, while also trying their best to sever the relationship between the Cadman family and Fred in front of Alan, hoping that Alan would vent his anger on Fred instead of the Cadman family.

Ahem!

At that moment, a sudden and violent coughing sound interrupted everyone's sneers.

Standing in the middle of the crowd, Valerie's father, Eric, had suddenly turned red and covered his chest with a pained expression, giving everyone a fright.

"Dad! Dad, what's wrong?"

Valerie saw this and hurriedly went forward and asked in concern.

Eric desperately stretched out his hand, but he could not say a word, and passed out directly after a short time.

"Quickly call 911!"

"Get him to the hospital!"

When everyone saw this, they panicked, and the whole Cadman family became a mess.

Fred also saw this and immediately wanted to go forward.

Although Valerie and the entire Cadman family have treated him badly, this old man was the only one who had treated him well.

Before Fred could push his wheelchair over, Alan directly blocked his path and coldly scoffed. "You animal, thinking of getting away?"

"Get out of the way!" Fred said coldly, while a frosty light bloomed in his eyes.

Swish!

The moment Fred's gaze swept over him, Alan, who was behaving haughtily just now, instantly felt a chill rise from the bottom of his feet, causing him to freeze in place.

The next second, Alan was infuriated by the way he had frozen up.

The Fred in front of him was just a disabled loser. For such a person to actually give him scorn—even if only for a moment—it was enough for Alan to roar in anger.

"Get out of the way? What a joke! What do you think you are! Someone, get him..."

"Mr. Graham!"

Halfway through the words, Alan was interrupted once again.

He saw a person behind him holding a cell phone and rushing up to him. The man said, "Mr. Graham, the phone...the Fantastic Group..."

Fantastic Group?

The moment this word came out, Alan instantly changed his expression. He hurriedly picked up the phone and walked to the side.

Along with a barrage of yes and okays, Alan's facial expression kept morphing. He finally waved to a person beside him and pointed viciously at Fred and said, "Three, I'll go back first, I'll leave this place to you!"

"Okay!"

The man named Three immediately nodded, and then asked with a fierce smile. "Mr. Graham, how far do you want to go?"

"How far? He can't walk anymore, so make sure he can't even sit in the future and can only lie down!" Alan said through gritted teeth, picked up the phone again, and then left in a hurry.

As for the Cadman family, after a burst of chaos, the group of people rushed their way to the hospital.

For a while, the entrance of the Cadman family, which was bustling just now, was now empty, with only Three, his henchmen, and Fred remaining.

"Kid, did you hear what Mr. Graham said just now?"

Looking at the lone Fred, Three smiled wistfully. With a wave of his hand, he made his men surround Fred, each of them clutching a baseball bat they pulled out from nowhere.

They were about to carry out orders as given, making sure that Fred would spend the rest of his life bedridden.

"Kid, Mr. Graham never backs out on his words. I'm just following his orders, so do not blame me!"

At this moment, Three also picked up a baseball bat. While he spoke, he swung it hard in the air twice, and then fiercely pointed it toward Fred and brought the bat down.

The force was so great that it even brought up the sound of whistling wind.

Whap!

The anticipated sight of Fred's bones breaking did not happen. In the next second, Three and his henchmen were frozen in place.

This was because the baseball bat that was swung down at high speed had been firmly caught by Fred's hand.

"I won't blame you," Fred said indifferently while gripping the bat.

"After all, I was planning on moving my muscles today. I want to vent the emotions that have been cooped up for the past five years!"

Fred's feet slowly touched the ground, and his body rose. He actually stood up from his wheelchair!
