CHAPTER 51
Jim started receiving pop up messages before him in midair, with Joe appearing in the form of a disembodied spirit. Joe looked like a boy in his teens, though his voice was rough like that of a grown man.“Are you, Joe?” Jim asked, looking a little surprised.“Yeah,” Jim kept swimming along the edges of the pop-up box and eventually settled on the top, as if sitting on it sideways, while facing Jim. [You completed the mission without suffering a single injury!] Joe looked happy and pleased. [You can now choose to improve one of your five senses. Which one do you want to improve? Sight, Touch, Taste, Smell, Sound? Which one?]“Aren’t you going to give elaborate details on what each sense does after it’s improved?” Jim asked.[Nope. You’ll have to figure things out for yourself since I still haven’t accepted you as my master.] Joe said. [I’ll start the one minute countdown, so choose one sense before the time limit expires?]“W-Wait, there's a time limit? If I don’t choose, then what h

CHAPTER 52
Jim soon returned to Julia’s house. Both Julia and Daniel were happy to see that he wasn’t wounded anywhere. Jim told them, “I dealt with the gang, and they won’t come after you for money.”Julia was very much relieved to hear that. “H-How? Did you pay them?” she still asked.“He probably roasted their asses, Mom,” Daniel said, grinning. “I should’ve been there to see it.”Julia looked anxious all of a sudden. “You shouldn’t have fought with them, Jim. They are drunkards. They don't know what they do once they’re drunk. What if they come and attack us tonight?”Julia’s words made Jim frown a little. Because Joe had given him a mission, he ended up doing it in a hurry, but now he wondered if he should have dealt it in another way.Just then, siren sounds rang outside, skipping both Daniel and Julia’s hearts. “I-It’s the police! Jim, you should leave through the back door.”“If I leave, they’re going to trouble you guys,” Jim said and walked out through the front door. One officer stepp

CHAPTER 53
A few hours later. One officer went into the cell and practiced his stick-hitting skills on Jim. The sticks weren’t thick but slim and flexible, so they didn’t cause any damage to the bone. However, they hurt the muscle, bringing very much pain.Jim currently didn’t have anything but his underpants on. His body was completely covered in bruises. One officer after another, they took rounds to beat him.The detective that brought Jim to the station finally entered the cell with a stick in his hand.“Is this your righteousness?” Jim asked while bleeding from the mouth. The officer frowned. “Do you know what a couple of my colleagues were saying an hour ago? They were planning on taking you outside tonight to fuck you and then kill you.”Jim was startled to hear that.“I’m nowhere near as bad as them,” the officer continued talking. “They would even fuck dogs or pigs when they’re horny. So, a good-looking man like you is going to make them drool, of course.”A few seconds of silence passe

Jim wanted to send Julia and Daniel away, but he didn’t want them to be taken hostage. Since he also wanted to know who exactly was after him, he ended up walking to the same taxi that was parked across the road in the distance. The driver, who was talking on mobile, was surprised to see Jim. “That bastard’s coming. I’ll call you later.” He quickly ended the call and then lowered the window before looking out at Jim. “What? Changed your mind? It’s going to cost you more this time because you hurt my feelings.”“”I’ll pay you double the amount,” Jim said, making him grin.“Alright. Get inside,” he pointed his thumb backward.Jim first got into the car in the front seat and then told Julia and Daniel to enter. And they did.Daniel told the address to the driver, but only received a little weird smile in return, making Daniel wonder if the driver was stupid or something. The driver started the engine and drove at a steady pace. At first, it seemed like he was heading to Julia’s home, but

CHAPTER 55
A college girl was tied up in a dark room with nothing but one torch light on, and she kept hearing one voice, which made her shiver even more.“Do you know why we brought you here?” the male voice spoke from the darkness. “Your dad has become arrogant because he’s a lawyer in the supreme court and won a few cases. He refused to help with the case of a rich businessman’s son who hit a couple of kids and killed them when driving a car in a drunk state. All he had to do was accept the case, and we would have made him rich. He would have gifted you a nice building and a car as your birthday gift, but he didn’t know who he was messing with.”“W-Why did you bring me?” the girl asked, looking terrified and hurt because she was already beaten with fists a few times. “If it’s money you want, my dad will pay for you.”“We can’t teach him a good lesson by taking some money from him,” the male voice said, snickering. “That’s why we’re going to make a sex tape with you and then send it to your da

CHAPTER 56
“Rush to the top floor! Diego yelled. “And turn the damn lights on!”Now that the enemy had entered the building, the darkness would favor the opponents the most, so Diego had to tell everyone to turn the lights on. And most people on every floor did just that. But in that little span of time, Jim silently killed two more people by breaking their necks from behind and got his hands on more guns. Now he had four extra guns, so he was ready to go.As many as twenty people rushed upstairs, but Jim was already taking car of those that were on the third floor and then ran upstairs to the rooftop. The guys with machine guns started shooting the ceiling, but Diego yelled at them and told them to stop, or the ceiling might just collapse and fall on them. After all, this was an old building with cracks everywhere.“Go upstairs and deal with that punk!” Diego yelled, not knowing that Jim had already used the pipe to come down. However, Jim had to pause for a few seconds to catch his breath. “Th

Jim didn’t chase Diego straight away. Instead, he came downstairs and dealt with the remaining gangsters that were still on their feet. As he was making sure there was nobody else in the building, he stumbled on a room that was locked. He opened the door, thinking it was a storage room. But then he heard a girl crying in the darkness. For a second, his heart shook from anxiety thinking it was a ghost, but then he saw the girl. “Y-You’re…”“P-Please don’t hurt me,” the girl cried. “I beg you.”Jim understood what the gangsters were trying to do to her. “I-I’m not here to hurt you. If you trust me, c’mon out. I’ve already dealt with the guys, but we have to leave this place quickly.”She didn’t believe him, but she had no other choice but to come out of them. After seeing the dead bodies on the floor, she began to believe Jim’s words. “D-Did you kill them all?” She had heard gun noises, but she thought that it was an intergang war or something. “Are you part of another gang?”“No. These

CHAPTER 58
James Debrosa, a lawyer known for handling some cases for more than twenty years, just arrived at his office that wasn’t far from the supreme court. There were more than a dozen people waiting outside his office. Four of his assistants were also standing outside the room. All of them except Jim quickly stood and greeted him respectfully. There was more fear than respect in their faces and voices, though, because most of his clients were middle class or poor people.James was a tall guy with a small mustache that made him look like the elder brother of Hitler. He glanced at the clients, and out of them, only one person was a fresh face. “Who are you?” he asked.“Jim, sir. I called you last night,” Jim was the only one who got up from the bench normally and not in a hurry.“Ah…” James entered the room without saying anything.[This guy…] Joe felt his pride hurt. [I was thinking he’d be full of ego because his assistants were also just like him.]“Well, they are always treated like super

Jim stopped by a pretty big duplex home that was even bigger than the home he and his family were currently living in. Moreover, the lawn was so big, one could play baseball or golf if wanted. However, Jim saw that the gate guard was collecting toll fees before letting anybody pass through.Jim didn’t want to waste money, so he kept his distance and tried to do pullups on the wall.“Mm?” The gate guard saw Jim looking over the wall and quickly came over to him. “Hey, what are you exercising there for?”“Oh, I was just admiring the building, sir. The house is so damn beautiful,” Jim quickly said. “Is this your house?”“No. Can’t you see my blue uniform?” the guard rebuked him. “I’m the watchman.”“Oh, c’mon, sir, you look like a handsome billionaire,” Jim patted his shoulder. “How could you be a watchman?”The guard’s expression lightened. “Haha, you’re right. My parents also used to say that I will become a billionaire one day. Anyway, what are you doing here, brother? Surely, you’re

CHAPTER 60
At five o’clock in the evening. Not a single soul had been called inside, and Jim was so frustrated he started laughing all of a sudden, making the others wonder if he had gone crazy because Jim wasn’t even looking at a mobile or a tablet. After waiting for more than two hours, doing nothing but watching garden lizards and squirrels roam about on the lawn, Jim long reached his limit. The only difference was that instead of crying he was laughing, so as to not look pathetic. Jim was someone who avoided queues, whether it be at supermarkets or polling stations, but now, he couldn’t avoid the slow torture. He very much wanted to leave, but because Julia and Daniel were also involved in the issue, he swallowed his frustrations. After laughing long enough to release his negative emotions, Jim suddenly went calm as a church mouse. This behavior also seemed weird to others around him. A couple of them couldn’t wait anymore and left. Jim wished everyone else would leave, but the reality w
