I found out the house where he was held captive belongs to you, and from what I am seeing, you took him hostage.” Kimberley hissed and sighed; her expression shifted slightly. “You can’t possibly be implying that I have something to do with him being captured.” She said feigning innocence. “You can’t fool me, Kimberly. His father’s invitation had come out of nowhere, something he never anticipated. He clenched his jaw at the thought of meeting his step-siblings. The siblings he had heard about and never got to meet. Even though he felt a mix of resentment and disappointment, he had agreed to come, not coming with some disrespect to his father; he also thought this was a chance to clear the hatred in his mind for them after what their mother did to him, to comfort some old, buried emotions. As he crossed the lobby, the hotel staff members approached him with a warm smile and his head bowed. “Welcome. Young master, Jack. This way, please,” he said smoothly, gesturing towards the road to his right. Jack nodded, as he trailed behind her towards the private dinner room.
