Chapter 5. Unexpected Revenge

The journalists continued to barrage Cleo with questions that made Cleo feel low. "So, Cleo divorced because of an affair with Dennis's teammate?"

Cleo ran back into the house, covering her face with her bag. "Get out of here!"

Cory, who was still on the sofa, then approached Cleo to see what was happening outside the house.

"What's going on?"

Cleo snorted and walked away with an empty gaze. "It's too late. I thought I could fix it, but they all know now, and I'm helpless because of it."

Cleo's phone rang, and her slender hand quickly grabbed it. "Hello,"

Cleo fell silent for a long time, and her angry eyes looked despondent upon hearing the words from the other end of the line. "Fine!"

Cory nudged Cleo's stiff shoulder beside him. "Who was that?"

Cleo leaned her back against the sofa and looked at her accomplice with teary eyes. "He's ruined my career.

Now I'm no longer the face of famous products, Cory!"

Cory closed his eyes upon hearing Cleo's words. "This is scary!"

As Cleo and Cory were frightened by realizing the consequences of their actions, Dennis was celebrating with joy. Dennis asked Romaria to prepare a small party at his house, even though it was still early in the day.

Dennis wanted to invite a model who was very close to his ex-wife, but of course, Romaria had to find the right person because Dennis wanted this event to make Cleo more annoyed than ever.

After asking some of her friends who worked in the modeling industry, Romaria finally found the name Olivia Blue. This beautiful model was close to Cleo, but she also had a fierce argument with her colleague because Cleo's attitude was considered too arrogant.

Initially, Romaria was worried that the woman she invited would not fit her boss's request, but when Dennis's smile widened, she finally felt relieved.

Dennis extended his hand and recognized the beautiful model. "You're Cleo's friend, right?"

Olivia smiled and bowed as a sign of respect to this wealthy man, then asked. "What does Miss Cleo Smith mean, Sir?"

Dennis, upon hearing Olivia's words, immediately cut her off. "Don't call me that. I am your friend, even though maybe you didn't notice me before."

Olivia, realizing her past mistakes, immediately shook hands with this powerful man. "Forgive me for my rude behavior towards you before, Sir. You should know that at that time I ignored you not because of disrespect. But because I respected you as my friend's husband."

Dennis understood those words, so he nodded happily. "Your reason is sweet, Miss. Romaria, leave us alone."

Romaria then left Olivia and Dennis in the living room to let them talk at length.

From Olivia's story, Dennis knew that this woman actually held a grudge against his ex-wife, and now everything was complete because, slowly, Dennis found many similarities with Olivia, who was good at capturing the heart of this heartbroken man.

Dennis looked at Olivia's gentle face and smiled when this beautiful woman continued to say words that made him increasingly convinced that she was the replacement for the traitorous Cleo. "I hope we can get closer, Oliv. Can I call you that so we can be closer?"

Olivia smiled, realizing that the new president of Vanguard Fire Club had received her presence.

"Just say what you want, Dennis. I will fulfill whatever you want."

"Oh, in that case, let's go up to the second floor. Let's celebrate our victory with some light sports there."

They then entered Dennis's room and started to embrace each other, beginning their hot relationship passionately.

Of course, Olivia saw this as an opportunity for herself, considering her career had always been overshadowed by Dennis's ex-wife, and what Olivia felt now made Dennis even more convinced that this woman would be a sweet revenge for Cleo, who cheated behind his back.

Olivia climbed onto the bed and served Dennis well. She didn't expect to receive a barrage of sweet kisses from Dennis, even though she used to think this man was nobody.

As the afternoon approached, they both looked tired on the bed. Olivia's eyes glanced at her phone, her hand itching to capture her time with Dennis, which, if Olivia uploaded it to her social media, would make it the talk of the town at a time when Dennis was ruining Cleo's name.

Dennis's keen eyes immediately noticed something unusual about his female friend, so he quickly asked to know the reason. "Why do you look so strange?"

Olivia smiled and whispered her plan. "Can I post a photo of us together in this bed?"

Dennis grinned and allowed Olivia to execute her plan. "You're very clever. Do whatever you want, Oliv."

Olivia Blue then took a selfie with Dennis. At that time, she only showed her face, while Dennis didn't hesitate to show his face and his hairy chest.

It didn't take long for the photo to attract sharp attention from reporters. Eventually, the news of Olivia Blue and Dennis Brown's closeness became the talk of several online news media in the country.

No!

Cleo screamed as soon as photos of her ex-husband and Olivia, whom she despised, quickly spread in online news. "He can't take my Dennis away!"

"What did you say?" Cory asked, looking jealous at Cleo.

Cleo looked at Cory cynically and closed the screen of her phone, which was displaying Dennis and Olivia.
