Chapter Sixty-One
He scoffed as he skimmed his finger across his nose. The outrage had so gotten to the point that it scorched his insides. Frederick was underestimating him. In full force, to the surprise of everyone present, he thrust a blow to be added to the guy’s already bruised and swollen face. But before it could land on his already broken nose, he held his clenched fist mid-air. The guy squealed like a mouse trapped and it wasn't just only him that was scared shitless by Aidan’s action, his secretary was too, and she couldn't hide it by grabbing onto Mr. Milton's hand. She let out a tiny screech, audible only to Mr. Milton. “You're finished” Aidan growled, as he grabbed the guy’s shoulders lifting him a bit upward. His lips curled into a condescending smile. “You messed with the wrong man!” He dropped him back on the chair. The police stepped in right at that very same moment and his secretary who was on the way moved aside for them to get access. The policemen exchanged side looks as the

Chapter Sixty-Two
“Still waiting on that heartfelt apology” He resounded to Jeremy again, this time by digging the heels of his black sneakers into Jace’s neck. “Tick Tock. Tick Tock.” He chuckled softly but grimly, casually crossing his hands on his back. The choking sounds of Jace could be heard as he dug deeper. Jace tried to wriggle his neck free from his feet but it was fruitless. Jeremy on the other hand, just stood and watched as his friend was being choked out of his life; he cared more about his broken fingers. Noah; the gym owner placed his hands on his head in a frenzy as dread ran through him. He didn't want any trouble.“Sir, please…” He stuttered as he dragged his words. “I don't need their apology, just let him go” He was inside the ring now, on his knees pleading not because he cared about Jeremy or his friend who always ran his gym like it was trash but because the gym was his life and any harm to them would destroy his business.Aidan released the pressure as he noticed Jace was now

Once he was done settling his affairs in the Caucus gym, he changed back into his clothes, got into his car, and drove to no particular destination. Getting all that anger out was what he thought he needed but for some reason, seeing Jeremy’s broken hand or Jace’s puffed up and bruised face and dignity wasn't satisfactory enough. His throat was still tight and his heart was heavy. His stomach on the other hand swirled and threatened to spill the contents if there were even any because he hadn't had food all day. The anger was still evident, still ever-present. He grabbed the steering wheel and tightened his grip on it as if to wring the daylight out of it.“Ding!” “Ding!” His attention went to his phone that was on the passenger seat, close to his jacket that he placed carelessly there. He saw the flash of light and the message pop up, his phone made as he pulled to a stop sign in the busy streets of the City. Since he was at a stop sign, he decided to check what the message was. H

“Don't get on my nerves more than you already have” “I won't ask again!” He said sternly.“Yes,” Casey said slowly but reluctantly. He ended the call. He had no other choice but to call her. Calling their family doctor would probably take all the time in the world since he had never even met the man and he didn't want to go through the long process of calling his attorney or his lawyer for help hence Casey. He sped through the busy streets and the road like a madman, breaking a couple of traffic rules. His one eye was fixed on Eileen who kept on babbling some gibberish utterance. Worry sliced across his face and settled on his eyes. It was almost past 8 PM now and he hadn't had anything since the day began; he was bearing the brunt of that as his stomach rumbled like a madman-exactly like the way he drove. He finally pulled up to the Ack Hotel entrance. Luckily, there was a private entrance made possible by his father, no public eyes would be on them since he doesn't have to use the

He brought the phone to his forehead and tapped it vigorously, putting Sadie on hold. After a few seconds, he brought it back to his ears.“I'm coming down,” He said and put the phone back.He strides over to where Eileen is sitting with Casey, her back being rubbed and patted by her as she looks dazy and out of place. He got to her and squatted to get to her level, cupping her hands in his. “How are you feeling now?” He asked warmly.Eileen still rubbed her eyes and looked around the whole room as if she hadn't fully taken in the environment like it was alien to her or maybe the alcohol wasn't fully out of her system yet, and the effects were still blurring out the part of her brain that could assimilate fast.“What did you drink?” Aidan asked again, noticing the way she kept turning her head about, avoiding the question or like she was perplexed and needed some clarity.“Did someone do this to you?” His glare was stern, waiting for the answer like whoever was responsible would be d

It's time Raymond. Send a hailstorm on her, I've given her enough time to give me back my Rachel but she's proving stubborn.” Aidan brushed his hand on the tabletop. Two weeks had passed since Frederick stormed into his premises, accusing him of stealing his daughter, and in that time, Aidan had dealt with him hard, losing his most important clients apart from the foreign investors, to his debtors running to Aidan seeking refuge from him. He was slowly losing his spot as the Monarch of Emergande City and Aidan Ackerman taking the spot without so much as shedding a sweat for it. Casey had wanted by all means to get to the bottom of Rachel and who the mother was but all she got from Aidan was bits and pieces, no matter how hard she tried; at least her relationship with him was better now. Now, in the past weeks, Madam Doris had continuously used the only leverage she had on Aidan, constantly threatening him with filthy pictures of Rachel in indisputable places. She thought she had the

“You can't touch a hair on his head even if you tried.” He stated. It was Aidan. The voice made everyone turn in his direction. He stood casually, carved like a Greek God, wearing a black-on-black suit with three buttons of the shirt opened, showing his masculine carved chest. His hands were placed behind his back, and he smirked, grinning bitterly from ear to ear.He had come in just about when the handcuffs were being placed on Madam Doris. “You!” She cried out.“You did this? Did you think they would hold me back with this?” She cackled like an evil bitch. “I'm coming out today just like I always do” She sneered as the handcuffs were being placed on her. Aidan unfolded his hand from his back and stride close to her. “Just know that your daughter is as good as dead with this rubbish you just pulled” She fumed furiously. The people gasped loudly. They were awestruck by what just came out of her mouth. If there were silent murmurs before, it became more audible. She saw and heard s

Aidan’s POV The news about Madam Dotis’s arrest spread like wildfire all through the whole city, the media scampered and ransacked who or what they could, to get their hands on the actual tea of why she was arrested by Aidan Ackerman. “Turn that off, Cole” “Yes Sir,” He did as informed. They were on their way to the police station and all the car radio played was how humiliating and embarrassing it must have been for her to be arrested that way. Aidan didn't care much or pay much concentration to it until the host emphasized on the fact that she would get out easily with one phone call. It irritated him so much that the City still underestimated him to think Madam Doris would go scot-free this time around with the charges leveled against her and the number of victims; thanks to Mr. Milton, coming forward to put her behind bars. He arrived at the station not for any reason, but so he could get the whereabouts of his daughter from the police and also Madam Doris to see his face, so

Aidan's POVThe table was set for him like he instructed the chef to with his neat meals. The look on Madam Doris’s face while she was being interrogated about her shady dealings would last a lifetime. She can deny all she wants, but she's reached the end of the road and that fact alone brought warmth to Aidan. His table was set with some of his meals consisting of grilled steak and mashed potatoes with white wine. Aidan had been running on fumes for the past couple of days, having barely anything to eat except his mountains of coffee. He finally made the decision and told his chef to prepare something exquisite for him. “Sir Aidan?” “Yes, Mikay, how may I help you, do you want to join?” He asked without raising his head from the wine he poured into the glass flute. “No Sir,” He got close to him after he waved his hand for him to do so.“Sadie is on the phone for you Sir,” He paused, nervousness embedded in him.“Well, I don't have all day, Mikay” He banged the fork and knife he h
